Live in China!

Finally, we have internet (!!!), albeit, with limited access. We still don't have access to social media, so this will likely be where we do most of our updates.

It's been a roller coaster since arriving 3 days ago. Here is my first journal entry from 1-2 days ago:

Friends and family,

We arrived 15 days ago. We still don't have internet so we are asking our sister, Catherine, to pass along this message to everyone (on FB).

It's been a challenging couple of days. The plan ride was much more rough than we anticipated. Kingston got air-sickness and Fiona was fussy a big portion of the time. They both have had a difficult time adjusting to the new environment, especially wyen it comes to their sleep. Both are having a tough time sleeping on their own, which was never really a problem in the States. We are short on money and haven't found a way to get our bank card to work. The ATM swallowed our card and now we are figuring out away to get it back...and without the card, we can't withdraw cash. Our US credit cards don't work here, even at Walmart! It was humbling after reaching the check-out line with all these groceries but then having to leave empty handed, because we couldn't pay. Lily and I are physically tired, and at least for me, miss the comforts of the States.

However, the Father is teaching us so much. He is teaching me that I have an awesome wife, with so much peace in Him, as she stands firm, which has given me so much hope! He has taught us that He is a gracious Father and wants to provide us with what we need. As it states in Luke 22, Je'us sent his disciples without purse, bag, or sandals...yet they lacked nothing! He is teaching us that being completely self sufficient can cause us to take oure eyes off of Him at times...and who better to put all our hope in than the creator of the universe??

So, thank you for your pr'yers as it is fueling us! We covet your love and partnership. Hope to update everyone really soon with pictures!
