"Your child will die before the age of one."

"There is no cure, and I cannot perform brain transplants."

"Let your child die."

"He will grow up to be a useless lump, and good for nothing."

"We had a child like him too. We let him die, then we birthed a healthy baby girl. You should do the same."

The list goes on and on. This is just ONE mother's experience when trying to find help for her son who has cerebral palsy. All these comments/suggestions came from doctors, loved ones, and acquaintances. Generally, people here have no idea how to care for children with disabilities. So, everything this one mother had to hear is commonplace!

Can you imagine what she must have felt (and continues to feel) having heard such aweful things? Let us intercede for these children, their families, and this nation...for a change and for HOPE!
