Children getting surgery.

This is going to be a shotgun post, hitting on a number of different topics...so here goes:
1. The child we spoke about a few blog posts ago...well, she's getting her taping procedure done, daily x 30 days. Her surgery will be in less than a 1.5 weeks. Keep her in your prayers! Thanks to all those that donated more than enough for her first surgical procedure (cleft lip). She'll likely have her cleft palate fixed sometime next year.

2. We work with EMAS, a surgical team from overseas, twice a year (every May and November). They do some amazing surgeries on patients from all over the region, from cleft lip and palate to burn victims. Burns are very common in the rural villages, as families just sleep by the open fire to keep warm. Children rolling into fires, regretfully, happen far too often. These patients are many times left with severe contractures and other issues. Thanks to those that donated to our China Outreach Fund, as we were able to buy some small gifts for the children. Some kids traveled 15+ hours without their parents, relatives, or friends to get surgery!

3. A little random, but here's a photo of our little Fiona helping daddy get ready for church. We're trying to kick-start a children's ministry at our local/Chinese fellowship...along with a few other families. Packing all the gear on our scooter.
