Welcome, Lina! Introduction.

To our family, friends, and supporters:

I want to officially introduce Lina Xu to all our supporters. Since July 1st (2016) she has been serving as our local project leader. Your love, dedication, and financial sacrifices have made this possible. She is dedicated, hard-working, and passionate about serving the less fortunate. She grew up in the villages, lacking lots of what we in the west take for granted every day, but persistence and a strong work ethic got her into a respectable university, graduating with a degree in English.

She worked at the international clinic for 3 years as a secretary, learning the medical trade from many missionary doctors and from working within a local hospital system. She even came to Christ a little less than a year ago! However, she was ready for a different challenge. She wanted to learn other things. She wanted to grow spiritually and personally. She wanted to serve the poor and marginalized in a more direct way. No local opportunities came up, so for now, she has been serving as our main local lead.

In the last couple of weeks, she has organized a mobile clinic to the Myanmar area, serving 100+ poor and marginalized patients. She’s helped coordinate many village patients in coming to Kunming in order to get medical care, including surgeries. Most importantly, she’s shown many of these patients an illogical, yet exceptional, love that only comes from Christ…a love that many of these patients would not have otherwise experienced. We’re so excited to be a part of Lina’s future.
